Support Groups

Terms & Conditions

These support groups were created by the PSP Society of Canada with the goal of fostering connections within our community. While PSP Society staff and volunteers moderate these groups and will occasionally share resources or information, it is primarily meant to be a safe space for people affected by progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) or corticobasal degeneration/corticobasal syndrome (CBD or CBS) and multiple system atrophy (MSA), including people diagnosed, partners, family members or friends, to share questions, questions, insights, tips and support with one another.

Rules: By participating in a PSP Society of Canada Support Group you agree to the following guidelines and expectations:

1. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members.

2. Only share information that you are comfortable with other group members seeing. We do not recommend revealing personal contact or medical information.

3. Information shared in this group is for educational purposes only and does not substitute professional medical advice.

4. This group may not be used for personal fundraising, sales or solicitation by individuals or groups, other than PSP Society of Canada sanctioned activities.

5. Contribute suggestions based on your personal experience, without judgment or criticism, and with respect to the commenters. Rude or overly argumentative participants will be removed. We want to provide a safe atmosphere for expression, sharing and connection.

6. Do not use these groups to sell, trade, donate or give away medically-prescribed or non-medical products.

7. Individual participation in the group may be restricted or terminated at the discretion of the PSP Society of Canada.
